Ephesians 3:10 - His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

Boundless Variety
Yesterday was National Have A Coke Day. Did you? Growing up here in the South, we knew of Coke, and then the different variety of Coke products. So, if someone were to ask, “Would you like a Coke?” You would say, “Yes, please.” Then the follow up question, “What kind?” So, you would answer depending on your particular wants. Would it be, Sprite? Dr Pepper? 7Up? Mountain Dew? Or Coca Cola?
If that’s weird, you’re not a middle aged Southerner.
Paul teaches the Ephesians that God called him to teach about the unsearchable riches in Christ. To make plain the mystery of God’s plan in Christ. And so, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known.
The manifold wisdom of God is the multi variegated wisdom of God. The multi variegated wisdom of God is kinda like Coke, but even better. It’s the boundless variety, the unlimited span of wisdom given through the church in and through Christ.
I look at the church sometimes and see, Sprite. I see only one shade of Mountain Dew. But, through the church, God wants for the world to see Christ in boundless variety, in endless variegated display, in limitless splendor and depth - all being fanned out in beauty through the One, who alone, unifies.
I wonder what this world sees when it sees us? Hopefully, the boundless variety of God’s wisdom and beauty through Christ.
I’m gonna go have a Coke.
Peace,
Paul
