1 Corinthians 2:14 - The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Οne More For Laurel

I know you’re probably tired of hearing and talking about Laurel v Yanny as I am, maybe I’m more. But it is an interesting take on how we hear and interpret things.
It’s Laurel. It’s proven by the man that recorded the word for vocabulary.com. So, it doesn’t matter that some hear “yanny”, it’s laurel. I know that may be a contentious point, but it’s biblical.
The word of God can also be a contentious point. I read one thing and someone else interprets it another. I teach one thing, and another teaches something completely different. While I believe that the word of God is multi dimensional, never shallow, but infinitely wide and deep in understanding and knowledge, it doesn’t lend to contradiction.
The Spirit of God gives us insight and wisdom concerning how we see and understand what god is speaking to us through His Word. Surely, we interpret verses based on our context. A word meaning to me may have shades of meaning to you. But there is a plumb line true that is discernible through the Spirit of God.
It doesn’t matter if you hear the word of God say “Yanny” when in all truth it says “Laurel”.
How do we know what God’s Word says? The discernment and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Thank God we are not left to our own devices or man made measures, but we have the Holy Spirit!
