2 Corinthians 5:1 - Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

Temporary Home
We’ve been in current home about about 12 years now. A far different change than the first 12 years of marriage. We must have moved a dozen times. Now, a little more settled and still.
And over the years we have updated, remodeled, fixed, replaced, and re-hauled practically everything in and about our house. There’s still a lot more to do.
I don’t know how long we’ll live in this house, but we want to maintain and update it while we can.
Life’s kinda like this house on Delmar.
We put on years. We update, remodel, fix, replacer, and re-haul many things on these bodies of ours. We don’t know how long we’ll be in these tents, but while we are, we’ll do the best we can.
These dwellings of ours are not permanent. We are temporary. Our bodies are temporary dwellings - tents. Tents are not meant to be long standing and permanent. They get you from one place to the next.
We have a permanent home waiting for us in glory.
Meaning - do the best with what tent you have now. But just know, something permanent awaits us because of our faith in Christ.
