John 11:25-26 - Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Time for Faith
A few days ago I ran upon a video that one of my Facebook friends liked or shared. I watched a bit. It was some sort of drivel from a guy who was trying to be too smart for his beard about how time is an illusion. As he talked about how our memories of past and our imagining the future proves that time is an illusion, all I could fixate on was his magnificent beard and bald head. And, my attention span couldn’t handle this 4 minute video.
Speaking of time, God is not limited by it. He is not confined by it. He neither grows old nor waits in anticipation.
Martha speaking to Jesus about Lazarus, said this, “If you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
Jesus replied, “Your brother will rise.” Martha answered, “Yes of course, but he’s dead now.”(PPP-Pastor Paul’s Paraphrase).
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.”
Jesus wasn’t late to see Lazarus. He wasn’t behind schedule. He wasn’t being negligent when he heard that Lazarus was close to death. And He didn’t need to excuse himself before Mary and Martha. But what they needed in the light of Christ, was faith.
It may seem to you that God is laggin a bit when it comes to answering your need. Maybe He’s a little deaf as well because you surely have been praying loud and long. I mean, come on!
Christ says to you and your need the same as He spoke to grieving Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life.”
Time may be an illusion, who knows? But all we know or care about, is it’s time for God to do something when we have a need.
Christ says, “It’s time for faith!” (PPP)
Peace,
Paul
