Titus 2:11-13 - For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ

Waiting
If you’re up on your meme’s like most of the world, you’ve surely seen Sad Keanu. It’s simply Keanu Reeves on a park bench by himself, eating his lunch. The picture shows him looking down at the ground as though he’s sad and contemplative. And there have been many follow up photoshopped meme’s of Keanu on the bench with a panda, with a crying Tom Brady, and with many more Keanu’s. If you have an afternoon, look for it. It’s worth it.
That’s what many think of sad Christians. The world thinks we’re sad contemplative souls, dulling out an existence lame and lonely.
No so much!
We have such a wonderful hope that we’re living in and waiting for. It’s a blessed glorious hope that we can hardly fathom in this sad and contemplative life that many are living.
We are not simply getting by, but thriving in a relationship with the Son of God as our Savior and King. We have received His grace which shows us how to live - to really live. We are able to live, not in the same droll getting by as though who have no hope.
We wait, expectantly for that hope to become a reality when Christ appears. May the Lord find us living in anticipation of what’s to come, and not a people characterized as a memed Sad Keanu.
We wait.
Peace,
Paul
